August 15, 2026 – CAMMA Microfinance Limited organized an environmental and community health initiative at Mongkol Borei Primary School to commemorate the institution’s 16th anniversary.
Speaking at the ceremony held under the theme “My Fruitful Village” in Mongkol Borei Village, Samraong Leu Commune, Ang Snuol District, Kandal Province, Mr. Sen Kamsan, Head of Credit Department, emphasized that the initiative aims to encourage household fruit cultivation and raise hygiene awareness among young students to enhance overall community well-being.
During the event, 50 hardwood trees were planted on the school grounds, and 150 fruit tree saplings were distributed to students’ parents and guardians. The program also included practical handwashing demonstrations to teach students proper hygiene habits.
In addition to tree planting and hygiene outreach, CAMMA collaborated with Water.org to construct concrete rainwater storage systems, installed roof gutters, built dedicated handwashing stations, and provided some equipment to the school, including hoes, shovels, hods, rakes, watering tanks, tire waste bins, and hand soap.
The event gathered over 270 attendees, including the school principal, teaching staff, students, local authorities, as well as CAMMA’s executive management and employees. This marks CAMMA’s fourth tree-planting community event, bringing the institution’s cumulative total to 2,050 trees planted.
