August 19, 2026 – CAMMA Microfinance Limited and Mission Alliance Cambodia have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote financial literacy and business management skills among micro-business owners and self-employed individuals across CAMMA’s operational areas.

This collaboration aims to equip micro-entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals with practical tools and knowledge for managing their daily business operations and finances, thereby enhancing income-generation capabilities and strengthening the financial resilience of families and communities.
Under the MoU, Mission Alliance will collaborate with CAMMA to deliver self-learning opportunities through the “Roksi Chatbot,” Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions, and interactive workshops. The curriculum will focus on practical micro-business management and financial concepts that can be directly applied to daily life and business activities.

Mr. Biju Abraham, Country Director of Mission Alliance Cambodia stated “Small-scale and informal economic activities play a vital role in sustaining livelihoods and building resilience among rural families and communities. Through our ‘Roksi’ initiative, we aim to support self-employed individuals and micro-entrepreneurs—most of whom are farmers, small vendors, and artisans who aspire to expand their businesses and improve their living standards, yet face limited access to training and resources. Partnering with CAMMA will help bring this essential knowledge directly to the communities that need it most.”
Mrs. Dith Nita, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of CAMMA remarked, “The financial well-being of CAMMA’s clients is inextricably linked to the well-being of our institution. Promoting financial literacy is a cornerstone of responsible financial service delivery. Through our partnership with Mission Alliance, we aim not only to grant clients access to financial services, but also to empower them with the knowledge and capacity to manage their finances effectively—building more resilient businesses, families, and communities.”

Mission Alliance is dedicated to poverty alleviation and promoting social justice through strategic partnerships with civil society organizations, government institutions, and the private sector.
This partnership forms part of CAMMA’s continuous commitment to advancing client well-being and community resilience. Since late 2025, CAMMA has been actively promoting financial literacy, community financial safety, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) awareness among its target clients.

As of July 2026, CAMMA’s field staff have successfully reached 2,758 target clients, approximately 59% of whom are women. Through this new partnership, CAMMA and Mission Alliance will continue expanding opportunities for micro-entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals to gain practical financial insights, helping them make well-informed financial decisions and construct sustainable, resilient livelihoods.
