July 26, 2025 – In a joint effort to strengthen financial literacy among frontline credit officers, CAMMA Microfinance Limited, in partnership with Water.org, conducted a Financial Literacy Workshop for its sales staff. The workshop gathered around 140 participants at Himawari Hotel, marking a significant step in enhancing the personal financial management skills of CAMMA’s workforce.
The workshop was designed to equip credit officers, chief credit officers, and branch managers with essential knowledge on personal financial management and effective financial decision-making. By introducing practical approaches to foster financial discipline, the training aims to empower participants to confidently manage their own finances and be in a stronger position to advocate ideal financial practices within the communities they serve.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Dith Nita, Chairwoman of the Board of CAMMA Microfinance Limited, emphasized, “At CAMMA, we believe that building the financial well-being of our credit officers is key to delivering responsible financial services. This training will not only help our team better manage their personal finances but also give them the confidence to share financial literacy knowledge with our clients, especially in rural communities. Financial literacy is a fundamental life skill that can help individuals avoid over-indebtedness, achieve their goals, and contribute to household financial stability.”

The workshop covered a range of topics, including budgeting, saving strategies, debt management, and building financial resilience. This initiative is part of CAMMA’s broader commitment to client protection and responsible finance, ensuring that credit officers serve not only as loan facilitators but also as trusted financial advisors to their clients.
Water.org continues to be a key partner of CAMMA Microfinance Limited in promoting financial literacy and WASH Loan financial inclusion to provide opportunities for Cambodians to receive clean water and sanitation facilities. As of July 22, 2025, CAMMA MFI has 1,799 WASH Loan clients with loan disbursement amount of approximately USD 1,263,332.
